Martin Rouseau
Martin was not yet 20 when he started kitesurfing in Normandy. He’s also a typical waterman who is at home in various water sports and works in a ski school in winter.
“My favorite discipline is big air and kiteloops, but light wind foiling also has a very special appeal. In any case, the focus is on joy and moments of happiness”.
Lionele Doziere
Lionel discovered kitesurfing in 2013 and just after that he moved close to the beach to enjoy the sea almost every day if weather conditions allow him to.
“I volunteer in a local club and I am about to complete a course as a federal instructor. For me, kiting is a synonym to sharing, feeling the freedom to surpass yourself, and above all feeling the happiness. This sport, with its diverse supports and disciplines, is a source of inexhaustible joys”
Jürgen Hausladen
Jürgen was born and raised in Lower Austria, located close to the best spots around famous lake Neusiedl. His fascination for watersports began already at the age of 12, where he started with windsurfing and power kiting.
After graduating from university in 2014, he felt like it was finally time to take his passion to the next level and tried out kitesurfing where he immediately fell in love with the sport. Meanwhile, he is one of the locals you will always find around the beach when it’s windy, even during the cold Austrian winter months. He rides throughout the entire year, sharing his love and passion for the sport and our brand, no matter if it’s on the water, ice, snow or on the streets. If you somehow come to the lake around christmas, you will likely be able to spot Santa Clause, flying by with a smile, spreading good vibes to everyone around. He loves his homespot, and shares a strong connection to the lake, nature and region as we do.
Despite that, he is a professional software developer and tech guy, eager to find and create innovative solutions that can sometimes be quite off the path. Maybe that’s one of the reasons he loves to ride and test the newest board designs and innovations first and as he claims, which Woodboard has to offer a lot.
Cyrielle Caristou
“I was infected with the kite virus in 2017, and today I can no longer live without it. In winter I am in the mountains of my homeland to work and ski, but all winter I look forward to spring to take off my manager’s hat and transform myself into a globetrotter.
Then I travel for about half a year to discover spots all over the world and to share my passion with all the kiters I meet on my way. “
Annabelle Padilla
“The variety of the sport, the speed, the technique and the adrenaline, it’s so varied and just great. The kiters come from all walks of life, all ages and it’s totally cool. I like being close to nature and discovering new places, each more beautiful than the other. My only regret is that I didn’t start earlier”.
Verena Proksch
I discovered my passion for kitesurfing relatively late. Around 2019, but since then I’ve tried to spend every free minute on the water! The freedom I feel on the water, the connection to nature and the elements, the adrenaline when you shoot yourself out – and no matter whether all the tricks work or not, I always come out of the water with a beaming smile. And of course the kite community is something very special. I am always fascinated by how much this sport brings people together and that no matter where I am in the world, I always meet great and exciting people who share the same passion. It all started in Egypt and El Gouna will always be my home spot. In 2023/24 I had the opportunity to travel to Brazil and Colombia for a longer period of time and since then I have been enthusiastic about Colombia and the many different spots there are!
And during this time I also fell in love with Woodboard-Kitesurfing and am grateful that I can represent this great brand. The boards with their outstanding riding characteristics, the sustainability in production and the ethical values were crucial for me.

Lena & Carina
It was 2014 when Lena and Carina decided to give up their “normal” life and travel around the world. One of the first stops was Tarifa, where they came into contact with kitesurfing for the first time. They were so fascinated by the sport, that they made the decision to learn the sport and maybe one day be able to make a living from it. Afterwards, the travel destinations of their world tour were selected according to the wind conditions, followed by a long stay in Brazil, Spain, Asia and Italy until they finally discovered their love for Sicily. After working three summer seasons as freelance kite instructors, now the time has come for their own business! In March 2021 they will start their own center for watersports windwaterwine.com in Sicily close to the flatwater lagoon of Lo Stagnone. We are particularly pleased that they have chosen Woodboard.
